open post ☀ stahn aileron

a: a lost boy;
stahn aileron, though, tends to handle things just a little differently when in a strange place. and he's definitely in a strange place right now. though he's been all over the world, none of the sights seem familiar.
so what stahn has to say at a time like this is "whenever in doubt, ask your sword!"
and so he does, holding up a rather old, but ornate sword in front of him. the blade is pointed upward, and it's probably a bit strange. what is that guy doing?]
Hey, Dymlos... do you recognize this place? I think we might have made a wrong turn somewhere...
[the problem here is that very, very few beyond swordian masters can actually hear dymlos speak. those who are exceptionally spiritually inclined might, or those with a certain exceptional strength that could make them a potential master. those who don't posses that will definitely just see a weirdo blonde with a massive mullet talking to himself. those who do will hear a voice much deeper than stahn's responding.]
Something is amiss; I know we didn't make any wrong turns, but this isn't anywhere in Darilsheid.
[well, that seems like a problem.]
I thought so too. Maybe we should backtrack? Or do you think we should just ask around?
[someone help him before he ends up wandering into the abyss as nightfall sets...
or just call him out on talking to himself, it's fine.]
b: takoyaki;
or will be determined to make you one, unless you've done something truly deplorable like trying to destroy the world or killing his best friend or something.
but hey, part of the perks? food. which is why when stahn sees a takoyaki stand on the street, he's pretty immediately hype.]
Mmm, do you smell that? There's takoyaki nearby! [he... really likes takoyaki, it's fine.] Come on, come on, let's go share some, my treat! [there's no getting out of this.]
c: sleep;
congrats, you have now!
it could be literally anywhere. rooming together. on the street, while walking—the sky's the limit, because this boy can sleep anywhere, and waking him up...
well, there's a reason the aileron secret arte is calling "waking the dead" and requires slamming a ladle against a frying pan and shouting loudly. please though... try your luck? maybe eventually stahn will stop snoring and drooling.]
d. wildcard;
no subject
[he seems puzzled, so puzzled. he knows there's a lot of places he's never been in the world, but... not hearing of any of them seems a little suspect.
especially when dymlos, too, seems dubious about this. he's definitely more aware of the world than stahn, even it's certainly a different place than it was a thousand years ago. he mutters something to stahn about taking it one step at a time and starting simple—at least he knows his master is a dumbass who will get easily overwhelmed.]
Right... [that's his quiet response to dymlos before focusing on what estelle is talking about.]
I think I got really turned around somehow...! what continent is this, anyway?
[it looks a lot like fitzgald to him, but that's his home country and he knows there's definitely no places called halure, or zaphias there, considering there aren't really... many towns at all in fitzgald.]
no subject
[Which... she would think that he should know, given that he's here... Then again, given that he doesn't even recognize any of the town names she just gave, maybe it was pointless to hope for that. She's just really not sure where he's expecting to be, and she wouldn't know how to help him to get to Darilsheid.]
What continent is Darilsheid on?
no subject
[what the heck is an ilyccia? can you eat it?]
I don't know what continent that it, but Darilsheid is in Seinegald... it's the capital!
[it's probably one of the biggest cities in the world, estelle!
(they're not going to get anywhere this way.)]
no subject
[She's honestly wracking her brain here trying to think of if she's ever heard of the place, but she's got nothing. Even the Four let her know that they don't recognize it either.]
Forgive me for asking, but did you hurt your head maybe? There's no such continent as Seinegald, neither past nor present. Not in the entire world. [And she would know since she's been literally everywhere.]
no subject
[his brows draw together, and he's looking at his sword—dymlos is protesting this too; after all, these landmasses he's known of have existed for over a thousand years.
something fishy!! is going on!!]
It wasn't even that long ago I was in Seinegald, and my Gramps was a soldier there and told me stories when I was a kid, so... of course it's really a place!
no subject
Instead, it's just her. Her and the Four. She'll have to make do on her own.]
Can you tell me more about Seinegald? And Darilsheid, and any other place you know.
no subject
he's just totally clueless and has less to go on that she does, because this definitely isn't even a thing]
Well, Darilsheid is the capital of Seinegald, and it's not too far from Cresta and Harmentz. Harmentz isn't far from Janos, which is in Phandaria...
[stahn, you're just listing off places on the map you've been. which probably isn't that far off from what she's asking, but stahn pauses to look up at the sky, and breathe in the sweet scent that the cherry blossoms in the air give off.]
Here, though... it feels a lot more like Fitzgald than anywhere else.
[it's kind of a nostalgic feeling, because the climate reminds him of home.]
no subject
Wherever he's from... It can't be here. Which sounds crazy, when as far as she knows, there isn't any world other than Terca Lumireis, but. None of those places are on Terca Lumireis, so what other conclusion can she come to?]
What makes this place feel like Fitzgald? [She's trying to think of any other town that might seem like Halure. The ports maybe, given their weather, but she knows she's making a stretch. It feels like she needs to wrap her mind around the idea of someone being from another world before she suggests it to them.
But, well. Crazier things have happened, haven't they?]
no subject
[she's asking stahn to put his finger on it, so he has to pinpoint the specific things about it, right?
which should be fairly easy; he spent the better part of his nineteen years in fitzgald, after all. it's his home country, so he should know it best! which is more than what he can say for where they are now.
(and dymlos, of course, remains incredibly dubious, given how peculiar the situation is. even he wouldn't imagine some kind of world hopping; time jumping is a thing he's familiar with, but not world jumping.]
The weather's kind of the same! In my hometown, the weather is kind of like this a lot of the time. And...
[he motions to the tree.]
It's a lot bigger than the ones I've seen, but the trees in Sakura Park are a lot like that! Noischtat's the only city I've ever really seen with those kinds of trees.
[they do exist elsewhere in his world, but he was there at a time when they weren't blossoming, so he didn't... actually notice. it's fine.] It's just as pretty here as it is there, too.
no subject
And you wouldn't just have a park full of trees like that, would you?
Well... Here goes.........]
This is probably going to sound strange, but... Have you ever thought of, well. Other worlds existing? [Wow she sounds crazy, but what choice does she have!!]
no subject
[he doesn't sound incredulous just.
entirely baffled, to be honest. clearly, he didn't consider this at all, he's a simple country bumpkin who absolutely did not even remotely think of the possibility.
in fact, it seems like he's just trying to understand what estelle means at all. whoops!
(he's dumb, sorry, estelle.)]
